Ground-Mount Structure Design is the module where mounting platforms for ground-mounted solar plants are designed in 3D. It is the land-based counterpart of roof design: platform rows carrying the panels are placed on real terrain elevation data.
For ground-mounted plants, structure quantities come from the model rather than manual take-offs, so profile and fastener orders are based on measurements. Stepped changes in leg heights on sloped terrain are taken into account, and the 3D visual presented to the customer makes the project easier to understand. The pre-suitability check is a preliminary engineering assessment and does not replace an approved structural engineering project.
Add obstacles and surrounding structures, follow shadows by month and hour, and calculate panel-level shading loss.
